About the German Pinscher

The German Pinscher is the medium-size prototype of the Pinscher-Schnauzer family, an ancestor of the Doberman and Miniature Pinscher. Nearly lost after World War II and reconstructed from a small founder pool by breeder Werner Jung; AKC recognition dates to 2003.
